About Software Development at Sollers:

Versatility is the keyword when it comes to what we do in IT. Development is just the beginning of a long journey where we get familiar with business, processes, and architecture. But at the end of the day, the result is always the same: a ready-to-use solution used by everyone around us.

As a Sollers developer, you’ll have the opportunity to continuously expand your skill set, navigate complex challenges, and contribute to the creation of solutions that empower businesses and individuals alike.

About the role. You will:

  • Design and develop solutions on Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Financial Services Cloud (FSC), leveraging Salesforce Industries and OmniStudio tools (FlexCards, OmniScripts, integration procedures, DataRaptors) for clients in the insurance industry.
  • Lead the design of IT solutions, taking into account the architecture and its constraints.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and “strategic partner” for our clients.
  • Independently lead a project team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and maintaining high quality standards.
  • Conduct active and regular code reviews, and help establish and enforce coding standards within the team.
  • Ensure adherence to the project scope, promote best practices, and share knowledge across teams.
  • Create well-structured technical documentation (e.g., using BPMN, UML).
  • Work directly with our clients as an active member of an agile project team.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients, identifying opportunities to expand our collaboration when appropriate.

About the skills and tools. You will use:

  • Salesforce
  • Omnistudio (Vlocity or Salesforce)
  • Apex, Lightning Web Components
  • Flows, Triggers
  • Git
  • … and more depending on project

About the requirements. You need:

  • Master’s degree in computer science and at least 5 years of experience as a software developer, including at least 3 years working with Salesforce.
  • Initial experience in a leadership role, such as Tech Lead or Architect.
  • Hands-on experience with Apex (Triggers, Batch, Async Apex) and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Experience with REST/SOAP web service integrations.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, the principles of clean code, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in English, at least at the B2 level.
  • Fluency in French, at least at the C1 level.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, and to effectively facilitate workshops.
  • Experience estimating workloads at various levels and identifying potential risks.
  • Available for a full-time position with partial remote work.

About the wishes. Nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of best practices in software development.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer certification or other relevant certification.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and solutions.
  • Ability to build lasting, positive relationships with clients and members of the team you manage.
  • Additional languages.
  • Willingness to travel regularly as project needs require.

About our promises. We can offer:

  • Flexible working hours and a hybrid home office model (2-3 times per week in the office) as work-life balance is crucial at Sollers.
  • A chance to be promoted twice a year and a clearly defined career path with salary forecast.
  • Opportunities for growth with a training budget that you can use for courses and conferences. We also provide access to an online training platform and co-fund language classes.
  • An internal coach to guide you through the onboarding, further training and career opportunities, plus a budget to be used for your lunches together.
  • A chance to #DoMore for the planet and the community as part of Sollers Change Makers – our volunteering program.

Reasons to Join

Mirek, IT Specialist

It’s always good to have a resume complete in terms of foreign languages proficiency, acquired skills and commercial experience. Truth is always the most important aspect, so be honest.

You are applying for a Junior position and have no experience? Don’t worry – just add your projects’ portfolio (eg. on github) and show us what you’ve been doing so far.

We’re looking for people open to learning new technologies, getting familiar with the financial sector, particularly insurance.

Pavlo, Developer

My top 3 tips for an interview at Sollers are:

Don’t be afraid to ask questions and admit you don’t know the answer to a given question – it doesn’t mean you know nothing, it just saves a time for all of us

IT knowledge at least on solid basic level is also a must. This includes data structures, design paradigms and patterns, architecture design and coding principles to name a few

Lack or little commercial experience? Be prepared to solve some algorithm tasks
